สถานประกอบการอุตสาหกรรมการผลิต หมายถึง สถานประกอบการ ที่ดำเนินกิจการเกี่ยวกับการผลิต ซึ่งหมายถึงการเปลี่ยนรูปวัตถุให้เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ ชนิดใหม่ด้วยเครื่องจักรหรือเคมีภัณฑ์ โดยไม่คำนึงถึงว่างานนั้นทำด้วยเครื่องจักร หรือด้วยมือ หรือทำในโรงงาน โรงซ่อม หรือเคหะสถาน หรือผลิตภัณฑ์นั้นขายส่ง หรือขายปลีกก็ตาม การประกอบชิ้นส่วนของผลิตภัณฑ์นับว่าเป็นการผลิตด้วย
