บ้านที่มีสภาพแวดล้อมที่เหมาะสมของผู้สูงอายุ หมายถึง บ้านที่มีลักษณะ 5 ลักษณะ คือ 1) บันไดบ้านมีราวให้ยึดเกาะ 2) ห้องน้ำ/ห้องส้วมมีราวให้ยึดเกาะ 3) ห้องนอนอยู่ชั้นล่างหรือเป็นบ้านชั้นเดียว 4) ห้องน้ำ/ห้องส้วมตั้งอยู่ในบ้าน และ 5) มีส้วมแบบนั่งห้อยเท้า
