ร้อยละของประชากรอายุ 15 ปีขึ้นไป ที่ไม่ได้เรียนหนังสือ จำแนกตามเพศ เป็นตัวชี้วัดที่ใช้สะท้อนสถานการณ์ด้านการศึกษาและความเหลื่อมล้ำทางสังคมของประเทศ โดยประมวลผลจากข้อมูลการสำรวจภาวะการทำงานของประชากร สำนักงานสถิติแห่งชาติ เพื่อแสดงสัดส่วนของประชากรอายุ 15 ปีขึ้นไป ที่ไม่ได้อยู่ในระบบการศึกษา จำแนกตามเพศ ซึ่งข้อมูลดังกล่าวสามารถใช้ประกอบการติดตามสถานการณ์ด้านการเข้าถึงการศึกษา รวมทั้งใช้เป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานในการกำหนดนโยบายและมาตรการเพื่อลดความเหลื่อมล้ำทางการศึกษาได้
