การว่างงานระยะยาว (Long-term unemployment) เป็นตัวสะท้อนถึง ค่าแรงที่จะได้ลดลงทั้งผลกระทบต่าง ๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อม ซึ่งอัตราการว่างงานในระยะยาวนั้น วัดจากการว่างงานที่นานกว่า 1 ปีขึ้นไป ต่อกำลังแรงงาน
